Oversight of Designers:

• Directly manage Designer performance, work quality, skill development, and procedure/standard adherence to support personal growth and team success.
• Works with Studio Manager to provide status of individual performance, development focuses, and technical success to advise rotations and assignments to support skill development and team balance.
• Support Designers growth as effective problem solvers and interior designers
• Serves as point of escalation for direct reports for coaching, mentoring, and guidance on how to manage challenges
• Act as a mentor for designers in communication, work process, design, CAD, application of Building Code, ADA, and Amazon guidelines, and provide regular feedback through both formal Huddles and informal channels on performance and competency development.

Quality Control & Consistency:

• Audit Test Fits requesting double checking, as well as peer redlines. Provide immediate feedback and coaching to individuals.
• Ensure designers are practicing standard process and protocols by providing feedback and monitoring performance through audits and review of work in progress.
• Ensure designers are providing effective regular communication with all parties regarding project status, including internal team, clients, vendors and other partners to ensure exceptional customer service.
